About Evon Montgomery
Evon is a full time equine education specialist with over 40 years of experience. Her love of horses started at an early age where she was able to spend countless hours at the barn observing and developing a bond with horses. As an early teen she began to work with
horses that had bad behavior issues. It just seemed to come easy for her, how to use a horse’s natural instinct and responses to get
that horse to do what she wanted it to. At 16 she broke her first colt and started making money doing the thing she loved best, riding horses. It
has been a lifelong passion for her to help others be the best horse owners and riders they can be, by teaching horse behavior and
body language. It has turned into adding a new component to her life in 2012, Montgomery Equine Advanced Muscle Release.
For 15 years she traveled and rode the trails across America with her husband Craig. They visited many state and national parks
and uniting with AQHA and APHA in their trail riding initiative’s. From 2009-2017 she hosted monthly clinics at Saxony Farm, in Saxonburg, PA.
In 2013 she created and launched HORSES 1, 2, 3 to help horse owners learn how to work with and ride their horses safely. By
equipping people with a plan that uses audio, visual and kinetic learning aides to practice the exercises; combined with user friendly
SKILL CARDS, NUMBERED/ LETTERED cones and DVD’s, users find success quickly. HORSES 1, 2, 3 follows a sequence that
starts with ground skills, then relates and employs the ground skills to riding exercises. The use of SKILL CARDS and CONES make
an easy to follow and apply PLAN of action. Because the skills are learned gradually and built on a foundation that both horse and hu-
man understand, it develops a CALM, CONFIDENT, COLLECTED bond of trust and unity between horse and human.
